The season is underway! Unfortunately, I have already heard from multiple teams regarding record keeping errors in GameChanger. PLEASE be accurate as you score games. As substitutions are made, you MUST report changes to the other teams statistician. It may be a good practice to check pitch counts with the other teams periodically throughout the game to make sure everyone is on point.
You have chosen to allow flexible substitution rules during the regular season, the integrity of the official scorebook is paramount. The scorebook serves as the final authority on player participation, batting order, and game records. Both teams must maintain an accurate scorebook. Managers are responsible for verifying the books after each game. In the event of any dispute, the home scorebook is the official record. If you have questions or need assistance, please ask, I may be able to help.
Social Media Reminder
I’ve noticed a lot of teams stepping up their social media—that’s great! Keep it going. You’ve probably also seen more coverage from local media outlets picking up our games. A couple of easy ways to help grow visibility:
- Announce your upcoming games.
- Post your GameChanger recaps—it’s a simple copy and paste.
- You can also share box scores from GameChanger to highlight player performances.
All of this helps your players get more attention and helps drive greater participation in Legion Baseball.
